The 16^th edition of the Machine Tool and Manufacturing Technologies Congress will take place next October, 18^th-20^th, 2006 in the Kursaal Congress Palace - San Sebastián (Spain).

This "Machine Tool and Manufacturing Technologies Congress" follows the "Machine Tool Research, Design and Use Congress" whose first edition was held in 1976 and which in its 11th edition changed its name in order to be closer to the technological developements which are taking place in our industrial environment and which are of most interest for the end users, manufactures and R&D developers.

In this 16th Congress the end users, suppliers and manufactures will be participated in the new R&D developments which are now taking place in such themes as processes, productivity, e-machines, eco-machines and so on. The R&D researchers will learn on the applicability of their developements in the industrial field. The aim is to promote a true partnership among the scientists who develope new technologies, the manufacturers who use these technologies in their products and the end-users who put them into operation.

Round tables will be organised in order to debate issues as important nowadays as new processes for new products and key success factors in the product life cycle.

The aim is to communicate high quality technological information, in order to increase the Machine-Tool Sector Technological level.
